Dog-Friendly Bars and Restaurants
If you’re anything like us, you want to spend as much time with your furry friends as possible. What’s better than a day out on the town with Fido? Portland is a very dog-friendly town, and our love of pets extends to our favorite local restaurants and bars as well. Let us help you choose the right dog-friendly brewery or restaurant for your adventure, and take your best furry friend wherever you go. Although you and Fido can’t rest inside (due to health code regulations), these dog-friendly restaurants and bars all feature outdoor seating perfect for your best friend.
Migration Brewing
Need a drink to cool off after a long walk in the city with your furry friend? Look no farther than Migration Brewing’s Glisan location at 2828 NE Glisan St. This dog-friendly brewery has a patio where your (well behaved) furry friends are welcomed while you grab a beer or bite. There are dog bowls for water, freshly made dog biscuits, and even an Instagram to highlight your visit at this dog-friendly restaurant.
Base Camp Brewing
If you want to change it up with Fido and visit a different dog friendly brewery in Portland, why not try Base Camp Brewing, located at 930 SE Oak St? This all-season brewery features beer as the main fare, but has a patio for the summer months and fire pits for the winter months where you and your dog can hang out after a hard day of play. If you’re hungry, there are three food trucks: Sherpa Kitchen, Poblano Pepper, and Wild North.
Lucky Lab Brew Pub
Our final brewery on the list is Lucky Lab Brew Pub, located at 915 SE Hawthorne Blvd. This original location of Lucky Lab features beers alongside sandwiches, soups, bentos, and salads. Even if you’re not close to the Hawthorne location, the other locations also feature outdoor seating where you can bring your dog for a bite to eat and a refreshing drink. They’re even so dog-friendly they host an annual Dogtoberfest, fundraising to help local animal organizations!
Tamale Boy
Looking for a dog-friendly restaurant instead of a bar or brewery? Why not try Tamale Boy at 668 N Russell St or 1764 NE Dekum St. Originally a catering company, Tamale Boy now serves a seasonally changing menu of Mexican foods from all around Mexico. Both locations have outdoor picnic tables to serve you when your dog comes along.
Tin Shed Garden Cafe
Looking for a classy brunch or dinner at a dog-friendly restaurant? Try Portland’s hidden gem: The Tin Shed Garden Cafe at 1438 NE Alberta St. They have a beautiful outdoor patio where you and your dog can enjoy a meal and take in the beautiful sights and sounds of residential Portland. The Tin Shed even features “Doggie Night” on Thursday nights: Bring your dog with you, and your dog eats free!
