Merrick started over 30 years ago in founder Garth Merrick’s family kitchen in Hereford, Texas. He wanted to make sure his beloved pup Gracie was getting the most wholesome and nutritious food possible, and so he began cooking her meals at home.
Merrick’s commitment to quality doesn’t stop at the ingredients! All of their manufacturing facilities meet strict FDA guidelines, their kitchen is a Safe Quality Food (SQF) Level 3 facility, and they continue to enhance their safety performance by partnering with safety organizations to keep them accountable. They also test their recipes multiple times throughout the entire process to ensure they exceed food and safety standards.
